We first heard of Aashiqui when its mysterious poster appeared, showing two figures hidden under a trench coat. This soundtrack sealed the success of singers Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal, as well as that of the music duo Nadeem-Shravan. The early 90s was all about Nadeem-Shravan's soundtracks, and none of them could compete when it came to the ultra-romantic songs of Aashiqui. Aashiqui was all about the MUSIC, no one even remembers the movie! Why would you remake it, unless you were planning on re-using the same tracks? Because to change the music would be blasphemy.

I recently heard that there was talk of remaking Aashiqui (1990), which is one of the most ridiculous things EVER.

So I decided to share a few of these occasionally via this blog. Over the years there have been many soundtracks that I adored and yet found the movie to be completely unmemorable.
